Position Summary

In the rapidly evolving landscape of global health, the Director of International Business Development is a key architect of Empower's ambitious expansion into new international markets. This high-impact role is at the heart of our mission to drive innovation, quality, and service in enhancing global health and wellness. By spearheading market entry and growth strategies, this position ensures Empower's influence extends far beyond current borders, shaping the future of our international presence.

As the driving force behind our international initiatives, you will craft and implement strategic plans to penetrate new markets. You will assist our legal team in navigating complex export laws and secure essential international certifications. Your leadership will be critical in forming and nurturing relationships with global partners, aligning internal strategies with overarching business goals, and representing Empower at key international forums. Additionally, you will lead efforts to obtain necessary licenses in each target country and build a dedicated support team to sustain international market expansion.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identifies and evaluates new international market opportunities to expand the 503B business.
  • Collaborates closely with the legal team to ensure compliance with export laws and secures necessary international certifications.
  • Develops and executes a comprehensive business development strategy for entering and expanding in international markets.
  • Develops and maintains a robust pipeline of opportunities in international markets through various channels, including establishing relationships with wholesalers, distributors, cold calling, email campaigns, and networking.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with international partners and stakeholders.
  • Coordinates with internal teams to align international business development strategies with overall business goals.
  • Analyzes international market trends and adapts strategies to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Leads efforts to obtain and maintain necessary licenses and certifications in each target country, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
  • Establishes and leads a dedicated team to support international market expansion, including roles in regulatory affairs, compliance, sales, and customer support.
  • Collaborates with international regulatory bodies to understand and navigate the licensing requirements specific to each market.
  • Represents the company at international business meetings, conferences, and industry events.
  • Reports regularly to the Vice President of Business Development on progress, challenges, and strategic opportunities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications
