Director, Business Relationship Manager (BRM) - Fund & Asset Managers Group
This role is based within the Business Relationship Management (BRM) group in New York City, responsible for business development and providing both tactical and strategic support to the Fund & Asset Managers (FAM) Group.
We are seeking an experienced business development and relationship management professional to work closely with the Global Business Head to grow and maintain business relationships for Fitch's Fund Ratings practice. This role is integral to the FAM group within Fitch's Financial Institutions BRM Team. The primary focus will be on expanding relationships with public and private fund managers, financial sponsors, and fund finance lenders to enhance Fitch's Fund Finance practice and broader Fund Ratings platform.
This role will report to the Global Head of FAM (New York).

We'll Count on You To:
* Develop and grow the FAM business by leading, developing, and executing marketing strategies across new and existing relationships.
* Drive new business through the origination of new rating mandates from sponsors, bankers, and non-bank lenders.
* Expand existing relationships and identify new market contacts to broaden Fitch's presence in public and private markets.
* Ensure proper follow-through with prospective clients, including the preparation of fee letters and associated legal documentation.
* Prepare pitches and other marketing materials for new business generation and revenue retention.
* Negotiate contract renewals for both existing and new mandates.
* Support the FAM Global Business Head on tactical and strategic projects, including new product development, industry analysis, and bespoke marketing initiatives.
* Collaborate closely with the analytical team to prioritize a large pipeline of new mandates and support effective revenue management.
* Liaise frequently with BRM colleagues in New York and London to coordinate market interactions and ensure efficient pipeline management.
* Adhere to all compliance and regulatory requirements.
* Travel primarily within the US as needed.
* This is a client-facing role. Frequently participate in industry events and interact with investors, bankers, sponsors, and other market participants.
What You Need to Have:
* Extensive experience in finance, particularly within funds, structured finance transactions, debt underwriting, lending, and/or syndication.
* Proven success in new business development, relationship management, and account management.
* Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and execute marketing plans.
* High attention to detail and experience with legal documentation.
* Advanced organizational skills and customer relationship management experience.
* Ability to manage a large and evolving pipeline of new business in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with senior-level stakeholders.
* Strong marketing, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
* Detailed understanding of private equity and private credit funds, ideally gained from a similar role at a fund finance lender, credit rating agency, or other role within private markets.
* Established relationships with financial sponsors and fund finance lenders.
* University degree, preferably in a business-related discipline.

* Experience in fund finance, including subscription facilities, NAV loans, and collateralized fund obligations.
* Existing network of industry contacts, including financial sponsors and bankers.
* Demonstrable experience managing a large pipeline of new business opportunities within the financial sector.

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $200,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch's total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
