The Director, Cancer Center provides overall direction and guidance to the operational activities within the HSHS regional service line with the objective of maximizing quality, growth, fiscal responsibility, and profitability. Role:

· Works in collaboration with local and shared services leadership as well as service line physicians/providers in the areas of: operations strategic planning, service development and marketing, stakeholder service, quality, and patient safety.

· Directs, supervises, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates clinical and operational activities of cancer center leadership ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and fiscal responsibility throughout the market ministries.

· May be directly responsible for oversight and leadership for all Cancer Care Services at designated ministries, including but not limited to, Radiation Oncology, Chemotherapy, and Infusion Services.

Education:

· Bachelor's degree in nursing, radiologic technology, allied health, applied science, business or healthcare administration is required.

· Associate degree in nursing, radiologic technology, allied health, applied science, business or healthcare administration plus 3 years working in oncology services may be considered in lieu of degree.

· Master's degree in nursing, radiologic technology, allied health, applied science, business or healthcare administration is preferred.

Experience:

· 5 years of experience in radiation therapy or oncology is required.

· 3 years of leadership experience is required.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations:

· Licensed in the state of practice as Registered Nurse (RN) or Radiographer OR

· Certification as Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT(R)) with specialty certification in Radiation Therapy (T) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is preferred.
