Job DescriptionThe Director CentraCare Research Institute will spearhead the development, implementation, and growth of a transformative research institute within a large, community-based healthcare system. In collaboration with a physician dyad partner, this role will guide the institute's mission to drive scientific discoveries, translate them into clinical practice, advance medical knowledge, and improve health outcomes for diverse rural populations.As a visionary leader, the Director will oversee research strategy, operations, and program execution, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and cultivating a culture of innovation and research excellence. They will work closely with health system leaders, clinical teams, academic affiliates, and external stakeholders to align research initiatives with the organization's mission of enhancing patient care and community health.Key responsibilities include leading strategic planning for research infrastructure and resource allocation, securing funding, and managing large-scale projects. The Director will promote partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders while ensuring compliance with regulations and accreditation standards. By facilitating collaboration among researchers, clinicians, learners, and other professionals, the Director will elevate the visibility and impact of research within and beyond the health system.Additionally, this role oversees staffing, professional development, grant administration, and budget management to ensure sustainable growth. With a focus on advancing CentraCare's tripartite mission of research, education, and clinical excellence.Schedule Details:
- Full-time | 80 hours every two weeks
- Primarily Monday - Friday, hours typically between 8am - 5pm
- On-site position, primarily working out of CentraCare South Point
Pay and Benefits (Total Rewards):
- Starting pay $116,520.14 per year, exact offer will be dependent on experience
- Salary range: $116,520.14 - $174,869.84
- Salary range is based on a 1.0 FTE, reduced FTE will result in a prorated offer rate

- Retirement with matching, up to 7.5%
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in a health sciences, health administration, healthcare management, business administration, research administration or related field required
- At least 3 years of experience in the clinical research and research management experience, including strategic planning and research compliance required
- Certified Clinical Research Professions (CCRP) or Association of Clinical Research Professions (ACRP) or others applicable to professional growth in research
- Knowledge of ethical issues, state laws, institutional policy, and federal research regulations that are applicable to human subjects research
- Knowledge of funding procedures of sponsored industry trials, federal government agencies within the department of health and human services such as the National Institutes of Health, Health Resources and Services Administration, Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality (AHRQ)
- Strong commitment to using best business practices to manage the large and diverse portfolio of sponsored grants and contracts
- Mentoring skills for developing core grant administration competencies
- Ability to plan, direct and integrate a complex operation using available resources to accomplish short- and long-term goals of the healthcare system
- Knowledge of health care systems and hospital/clinic operations
