Job Description:
At Dawood Engineering, Inc., we provide multi-disciplined consulting services for a wide range of industries encompassing Transportation, Energy & Land Planning/Site Development.Our engineers and professionals provide Highway Design and Traffic Engineering, Bridge and Structural Engineering,Civil Design, Surveying and Mapping, Pipeline and Associated Facility Design, Geotechnical/Geophysical, Environmental Studies and Water/Wastewater design.We are currently seeking a Director of Civil Engineering Services to join our team in our Enola, PA office location. As a Director of Civil Engineering Services, you will be responsible for program-level leadership and growth of operations as it relates to all civil engineering and site development related initiatives. This role will oversee all civil engineering activities which encompasses multiple office locations as well as oversight of projects and municipal services.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversees Civil Project Managers at regional office locations, business development, client management, project management, and proposal preparation.
  • Analyzes the project scope, the client's RFP, and firm's responsibility with the Project Client and proposals with the Project Architect.
  • Organizes work procedures set forth to be implemented and accomplished for project.
  • Establishes documentation and administrative organization for project teams.
  • Maintains Corporate Quality Control/Quality Assurance standards.
  • Performs supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
RequirementsRequired Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience working with a multi discipline service firm providing service to transportation, energy and general engineering clients
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Prior experience with strategic growth initiatives
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
