In this role, you'll lead the strategic planning, cross-functional co-ordination and execution to deliver clinical program supplies, ensuring the success of our clinical trials and the timely delivery of life-changing therapies to patients with unmet medical needs. This is a specialist position designed for an experienced professional who thrives on applying deep expertise in clinical supply chains. While this is not a people management role, you'll collaborate with key stakeholders across departments and lead partners at CROs to ensure program success. - Lead Clinical Supplies Operations: Strategically plan, co-ordinate across parties and execute to deliver clinical supplies, including drug product manufacturing, clinical packaging, labeling, and distribution, clinical ancillaries procurement and supply to studies.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with CMC, Clinical, Regulatory, and Quality Assurance teams to shape clinical manufacturing campaigns, study protocols, clinical CRO vendor selection, packaging design, and distribution strategies.
- Manage Supply Forecasting: Translate clinical trial designs into precise supply forecasts, managing inventory, mitigating risks and ensuring seamless supply continuity.
- Oversee Vendor Management: Drive Clinical Supplies vendor selection, manage supplier relationships, and address performance issues.
- Develop Innovative Solutions: Craft robust business processes and strategies that elevate our clinical supply capabilities.
- Contribute to Regulatory Success: Author Investigational Product Handling Manuals and provide input for regulatory submissions, including INDs and NDAs.
- Present Your Expertise: Represent Verona at global investigator meetings, Clinical CRO planning events and internal cross-functional discussions, ensuring alignment on clinical supply requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree (science or business focus preferred).
- 10+ years in Clinical Supplies Management within pharmaceutical/biotech, CMO, or CRO organizations.
- Proficiency in clinical forecasting, IRT systems, and GXP regulations.
- A talent for translating complex trial designs into actionable clinical supply chain plans.
- Proven ability to influence, build trust, and manage vendor and cross-functional relationships.
- Experience developing solutions for diverse, complex clinical study supply chain challenges.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (10-15%).
