Responsibilities
- Originate and evaluate prospective commercial real estate lending opportunities by analyzing property cash flows, rent rolls, markets, property types, requested loan terms and all other information available.
- Work with bank clients on all levels of relationship and origination.
- Assist in the underwriting of real estate deals and preparation of financial models.
- Present an analysis of cash flows, financial ratios, key market trends, etc.
- Prepare real estate credit applications for new loans as well as for renewals and modifications. This includes financial and risk analysis, tenant analysis, repayment sources, collateral, financial & reporting covenants, and sponsor summary.
- Conduct site inspections on real estate properties to ensure property is well maintained, identify any functionally obsolete space, and is operated in accordance with industry practice.
- Review loan documentation for consistency and accuracy of credit application documents. Review third-party reports including appraisals, property condition reports, environmental site assessment reports, etc.
- Present investment recommendations to the Credit Committee.
- Assist in the management of commercial real estate mortgage loan portfolio, the production of commercial real estate mortgages, and additional business plan objectives.
- Loan syndication experience is a plus.SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Must Have:
- Commercial real estate balance sheet lending.
- Loan portfolio management.
- 8-10+ years of experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Language(s): English.Nice to Have:
