Overview: The Director of Conference Rooms, Production & Studio Operations at Insmed is a pivotal role responsible for leading a team of professionals and managing suppliers to deliver impactful live and virtual events across the company's global operations. Reporting directly to the CIO, this position serves as the key liaison between Corporate Communications and all internal meeting stakeholders, including but not limited to Executive Administrators. This role is crucial in enhancing Insmed's communication and collaboration capabilities through effective use of technology and event management expertise. Responsibilities: Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and mentor Insmed's in-house production team, comprising both colleagues and managed services.
- Provide strategic direction to ensure high-quality video and audio-visual content delivery.
Financial Management:
- Develop and maintain the department budget, ensuring cost-effective resource utilization.
- Track timelines, budgets, and deliverables for efficient planning and execution of meetings and events.
Operational Oversight:
- Manage conference rooms, including servicing, setup, and technology.
- Oversee production support for audio-visual office components, including live streaming, video conferencing, and digital signage.
- Act as the Production Subject Matter Expert (SME) for onsite and off-site production engagements.
Studio Operations:
- Oversee equipment maintenance, scheduling, and resource allocation to support seamless production processes.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Establish and maintain partnerships with Marketing, Sales, and Corporate Communications teams to meet project requirements and deliver compelling content.
Event Management:
- Coordinate and execute small-scale meetings and events, managing logistics and on-site coordination.
- Lead the planning and execution of internal corporate events, including conferences, town halls, Board of Director meetings and executive presentations.
Vendor Management:
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee event-related services.
Quality Assurance and Improvement:
- Provide post-event reporting and analysis to evaluate success, gather feedback, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Ensure high-quality audio-visual meeting experiences for all Insmed users.
Global Support:
- Direct live event facilitation and support across all Insmed office locations globally.
Technology and Trend Awareness:
- Stay current with emerging AV technologies and event production trends, recommending and implementing improvements as appropriate.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all AV and event-related activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in technology, event management or related field
- 10+ years of experience in audio-visual technology and event production, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of current AV technologies, video conferencing platforms, and event production techniques
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with corporate event planning and execution
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required for events
This role reports to the Chief Information Officer and works closely with the Corporate Communications team to deliver high-quality audio-visual experiences and successful events that support Insmed's business objectives.#LI-JT1 Travel Requirements:
