What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Prepare Medicare and Medicaid cost reports and supporting forms/schedules as required
- Monitor and validate state and federal issued reimbursement rates
- Investigate and respond to audit reviews/questions/adjustments
- Regularly evaluate changes in reimbursement regulations to optimize reimbursement opportunities
- Manage and optimize the data collection and reporting process for various cost reports
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or Health Administration
- Minimum of 10 years of experience interpreting Medicare and Medicaid payment regulations
- Expert level of knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulation and payment rules
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage resources effectively
