We are currently seeking a Director, DBS (Danaher Business System) who will be responsible for promoting and leading the successful implementation of the Danaher Business System within Phenomenex. They will be a key leader and business partner who is results driven with a strong and proven ability to drive effective use of DBS tools. DBS is our proven system for achieving success. DBS is a philosophy, set of values, and series of management processes that collectively define who we are and how we do what we do at Danaher. Our DBS tools are designed to help us excel in the areas of Growth, Leadership, and Lean, building on a strong foundation of DBS Fundamentals. The Director, DBS will have a focus on leveraging Lean and Commercial Growth tools and will be a strategic thought partner with the leadership team. This role will be a the leader within a cross-functional space bearing responsibility for driving improvement in CVDs and KPIs across the business. They will utilize Problem Solving Process to identify gaps in process, talent, and environment, and develop action plans to close the gaps, and sustain any countermeasures implemented.
What well get you doing:
+ Build and maintain the DBS Kaizen Funnel to drive impact on critical KPIs and coach stakeholders through the kaizen process
+ Partner with functional leadership to identify and select kaizens and strategic projects, including insights to support strategic planning and policy deployment
+ Facilitate kaizen events every 4-6-weeks while modeling Best Team Wins coaching and facilitation behaviors
+ Strengthen DBS maturity by ensuring annual DBS plan deployment, training, and mentoring certified practitioners/trainer
+ Assist in the development of action plans to drive measurable improvement in KPIs; track progress via daily management and deploy problem solving where required
+ Train associates and leaders in various DBS tools, including Fundamentals, Growth (Commercial), and Lean
The essential requirements of the role include:
+ A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a related field.
+ A Minimum of five (5) years of leadership and/or practitioner experience in Operations/Commercial or leadership in continuous improvement.
+ Ability to work with functions in the implementation of the DBS roadmap and implement key initiatives to consistently deliver business results
+ Hands-on experience implementing improvements in a continuous improvement (DBS, Lean Six Sigma, TPS, etc.), line management or consulting role
It would be a plus if you have/are:
+ Current Certified Practitioner or Trainer in various DBS tools
+ Exposure to and participation in a wide variety of training and facilitation environments
+ Experience leading large, multi-kaizen events
The salary range for this role is $155k - $175k. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
