We are Elimini and our purpose is to remove carbon for good.

As the Director, Development Finance, you'll be responsible for the development and maintenance of a project business case for large scale Biomass Energy and Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS) projects from site identification to FID.

Your role will involve being actively involved in all key stages in the formation of a business case, from building the rationale/strategic concept to ensuring accuracy and thorough analysis and making the recommendation regarding next steps and onward project management.

You'll be located within our flagship office in Houston within the Energy Corridor. This role can also be based on Hybrid working, and travel throughout North America may also be required.

About the role

With direction from the VP, Development Finance, you'll manage the development of a project business case ensuring alignment with the site identification team, innovation targets, and wider Elimini objectives.

You'll support the VP, Development Finance in the creation and evolution of a business case through:

You'll work in close coordination with corporate treasury, preparing various analyses and materials for external investors, banks, tax equity investors, and rating agencies (as may be relevant) with respect to the projects.

You'll also be interacting with all other project leads to ensure the inputs and outputs are up to date, accurate, and recorded while maintaining reporting data on project economics and investment decisions.

About you

You'll hold a B.S. in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. MBA preferred.

You'll demonstrate significant experience (7-10 years) in development/project finance/modeling experience in utility scale US renewable generation projects (such as solar and wind) that are under development or construction.

You'll have experience in developing/overseeing infrastructure project finance, construction finance, development finance, and/or tax equity modeling for large construction projects.

Key to this role is a finance background/experience; you'll understand value creation and prioritization of funding and resources in large organizations to implement large scale capital projects.

Leadership and collaboration are key! You'll provide your experience working in and/or leading cross-functional, multi-cultural teams.
