Our expert team includes forensic accountants, certified fraud examiners, digital forensic specialists, big data experts, and former regulators - all working in concert to provide investigative, business intelligence, and regulatory advisory solutions.We are looking for a Director to join our Global Investigations and Disputes practice. As part of the team, you will be engaged in eDiscovery and AI work, including managing client interactions and deliverables in large-scale discovery matters. The Director has overall responsibility for client onboarding, training, and project support for attorneys and para-professionals involved in big data cases. The Director will manage cases and the workflow required to support discovery activities, including collections, processing, review support, and custom-built AI and machine learning tools. Additionally, the Director is responsible for interacting with data scientists and managing machine learning projects within a matter.The Director role encompasses the management of client assignments, proactively identifying and participating in business development activities, and coaching and developing junior team members.RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage engagements from start to finish, including designing and implementing the investigation plan, allocating and managing team members, reporting and presenting findings, and maintaining responsibility for the budget and administrative aspects.Be an operational client-facing member of the assignment team, developing and maintaining client relationships and managing expectations.Participate in business development by identifying potential new clients and business leads, as well as developing your professional network through attendance at relevant conferences and events.Engage in marketing activities, including drafting articles, participation in webinars/seminars, and supporting and promoting Secretariat events.Prepare and present pitches and commercial/technical proposals for prospective clients.Demonstrate appropriate judgment when considering risks to the client and to Secretariat, ensuring compliance with internal risk processes and policies throughout the assignment.Coach and develop junior team members, providing feedback and actively supporting their development needs.QUALIFICATIONSA minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or MBA.8+ years of prior experience in eDiscovery.Prior experience at a specialty consulting firm is a plus but will consider other commensurate experience in law firms, corporations, or litigation support firms.Deep experience with Relativity and RelativityOne; certification as RelativityOne Certified Pro is a must. Other certifications are a plus. Experience working with data scientists and AI machine learning projects is required.Excellent verbal communication and report writing skills.Strong presentation skills.Excellent analytical and problem resolution abilities.The ability to work independently while knowing which issues and risks need to be highlighted to senior staff, ideally accompanied by suggested viable solutions.The ability to manage team members, both junior and senior, as well as external stakeholders.The ability to manage and prioritize time against competing deadlines.Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel and PowerPoint; expertise in SQL, R, and other database or statistical programs are a plus.This position is a hybrid work-from-home and office role.The desire to lead auxiliary tasks associated with a developing practice within a rapidly growing firm.Secretariat is an equal opportunity employer.
