The team is responsible for ensuring that Automated Risk Controls (ARCs) facilitate the prevention of E-Trading risks, such as market, conduct risk & algorithmic trading risk.Reporting to the US Head of Risk and Control and supporting the global Director of Algorithmic Risk Control, you will have full ownership of implementing, assessing and reviewing US algorithmic trading controls by evaluating control description and testing evidence versus Automated Risk Control minimum standards in the ARC framework. Background We're looking for someone with a technical and risk mindset to advise business leads to continually refine our control environment within electronic tradingYou'll be improving and operating our automated control life cycleResponsibilitiesImplementation and ownership of US electronic trading risk controlsConduct reviews of control design specificationsPerform control effectiveness assuranceCollaborate with business and technology stakeholders to conduct limit assessmentsIdentify process improvements for assessing adequacy and effectiveness of controlsInvestigating and responding to electronic trading risk control issuesProvide electronic trading subject matter expertise and risk oversightEnsure 1LOD compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and policies on electronic and algorithmic trading for our fixed income and foreign exchange businessesMonitor and understand changes to regulatory requirements and make necessary updates to internal policies and proceduresInterface with regulatory bodies and respond to regulatory inquiries upon requestContribute to risk assessments and internal audit reviewsSkills you will needTo succeed in this role, you'll need operational experience in an electronic trading business together with knowledge of financial services businesses and technology.Strong knowledge of U.S. regulations, including FINRA and SEC rules and regulations related to electronic and algorithmic tradingKnowledge of FX and Fixed Income E-Trading environments, including quote-based and order-based trading flowsExperience writing test cases and reviewing test evidence related to pre-trade electronic trading controlsExperience reviewing and providing rationale for risk limitsMinimum 7 years of experience in Financial ServicesSeries 7 and 24 preferred, but not requiredAdditional skillsKnowledge of financial services risk and controlA clear track record of delivery and the ability to work to deadlines and adapt to changing prioritiesThe ability to think strategically and to develop targeted and intelligent solutions which are appropriate for the businessSolid understanding of trading platforms and processesExcellent communications skills (both written and verbal)The expected base annual salary range for this position is $185,000 -$205,000 at the start of employment. This is not a guarantee of compensation. The exact compensation is determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on skills, experience, training licensure, certifications and location.
