Summary: The Director, Fair and Responsible Banking reports to the Chief Compliance Officer and ensures that our financial institution adheres to Fair Banking practices and regulations. This role is critical in promoting equitable and non-discriminatory access to financial services for all customers.Job Responsibilities:Fair Banking Compliance and Testing Program Further the development and implementation of fair banking policies and procedures.Conduct regular fair banking risk assessments and compliance audits inclusive of data integrity reviews, decisioning and pricing linear regression analysis, file review, and annual risk assessments.Identify root cause and develop action plans in conjunction with management.Handle customer complaints related to fair banking issues and conduct investigations as necessary.Statistical Analysis & ReportingCollaborate with the compliance team to monitor and analyze lending data for disparities.Support the Chief Compliance Officer in preparing reports for regulatory agencies, executive management, and the board of directors.Training and SupportProvide guidance as the second-line of defense to the first-line of defense on fair banking practices and regulatory requirements.Collaborates with business partners (Learning and Development Team) to create training related to regulatory requirements.Assist in the creation of community outreach programs to promote financial literacy and fair banking awarenessLaws and RegulationsStay abreast of changes in fair lending laws and regulations and recommend updates to policies and practices accordingly.Work with the legal department to ensure the institution's practices are in compliance with the law.Other ResponsibilitiesPerforms other job-related duties as may be assigned.Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree in finance, law, business administration, or a related field.8 -12 years of experience in bank compliance, risk management, or a related area within the banking industry required.Proficient with statistical analysis tools, and software is required to conduct fair lending analysis.Interpretation and clear communication of linear regression outputs is required.Knowledge of building linear regression models is preferred.Proficiency in Asurity's Risk Exec Fair Lending software is preferred.Strong understanding of fair lending laws and regulations, such as the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP) Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) and the Fair Housing Act (FHA).Excellent analytical, organizational building, and communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft WordAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management.Columbia Bank and its affiliates is an Equal Opportunity EmployerAffirmative Action Employer/Males/Females/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
