- Hospital finance leadership experienceResponsibilitiesJob SummaryThis position will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and strategies within their assigned area of focus. The position plays a key role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our network by providing financial guidance and managing day-to-day financial activities which can include some or all the following:Financial Strategy and Planning
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the overall goals and objectives of the network.
- Create financial models for future business planning decisions in areas such as new services, new market areas and service expansion.
- Partner with senior leaders in developing long-term financial plans.
- Provide continuous improvement guidance for all finance related activities including accounting, financial systems, internal controls, financial analysis, budgeting, labor productivity, supply chain and reporting.Financial Operations Management
- Manage and mentor finance professionals.
- Support and model a service-oriented culture focused on employee engagement, clinical quality, patient safety, service excellence, fiscal responsibility, and the overall patient experience.
- Build and support effective collegial relationships with physicians, leaders and peers across the network to enable an environment of proper financial governance.
- Maintain collaborative spirit and foster strong partnering relationships.Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Gather, interpret and evaluate financial and key metrics impacting financial performance.
- Prepare and present key financial metrics and indicators.
- Provide insights on financial performance and trends.
- Conduct financial modeling and forecasting to support long-term initiatives.Budgeting and Cost Management
- Lead budgeting process within their assigned area, by working closely with department leaders to develop annual budgets.
