The Role

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

As a Director, Data Analytics & Insights on the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) Analytics team, you will play a key role working closely with members of Fidelity s FIU team, customer-facing business units, and key data providers to find opportunities where data can provide insight into fraud. You will participate in all phases of a data analytics project lifecycle from framing the business question/hypothesis, identifying the appropriate data sources, sourcing the relevant data, performing sophisticated analytics, and reporting on the results. You will use data to answer ad-hoc questions and develop data-centric solutions that will be deployed to users throughout the firm.

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree, ideally in an analytics or technical field.

  • At least five years experience partnering with fraud-related teams (such as detection, surveillance, investigations, etc.) to provide data analytics insights a plus. \u00A0

  • At least ten years experience working with relational databases (Oracle, IBM DB2 LUW, Snowflake, SQL Server, etc).

  • At least ten years experience performing data exploration, building business intelligence reports and developing visualizations (using OBIEE/OAS, Power BI, or Tableau).

  • At least five years experience building and deploying ETL jobs (SnapLogic, Alteryx, Informatica, etc).

  • You are skilled at effectively defining use cases and have proven analytical/problem-solving skills with capability to determine solutions to unusual and complex problems.

  • Proven track record communicating insights in a simple, clear, and actionable way.

  • Inherently good attention to detail, collaborative, and ability to multi-task and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

The Value You Deliver

  • Develop analytical models supporting fraud prevention efforts, including assessing potential new alert volumes by analyzing customer transaction data

  • Perform evaluative statistical analysis, interpret test results, and work with subject matter experts to evaluate the effectiveness of existing models

  • Continuously improving data analytics and insights capabilities and spreading that knowledge and expertise throughout the organization

  • Delivering data-driven and useful insights to enable objective & informed decisions

  • Developing new solutions and tools that risk professionals will use to proactively identify risk across the firm

  • Participating on audits, investigations, or other special projects that benefit from your subject matter expertise

  • Working across LRC teams to find opportunities where data analytics, automation, or machine learning can reduce manual processing and drive scale and efficiency

The Team

The FIU Analytics team is a part of a larger Data Analytics & Data Science team that partners across Risk, Compliance, Legal and Audit to provide insights into risk.

The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$169,000 per year. \u00A0

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation. \u00A0\u00A0
