Salary Grade: Admin 16 - $66,312 Job Category: Administrators Job Slot: 5889 Job Open Date: 10/25/2024 Job Close Date: Open until filled General Summary:Develop, supervise, plan, and manage various community training anddevelopment programs based on the education and training needs of the communityand local workforce. Develop, implement and supervise the educationalprogramming, staffing, publicity and promotion, and daily operations of acenter that provides an array of non-credit courses, grants - including thevocational education training programs for students needing learning supports,and apprenticeship programs. Establish strong working relationships and newpartnerships with communities, community-based organizations, school districts,local and state government, foundations, human service providers, nonprofits,businesses and others to identify programs and services that will helpindividuals meet their educational and life enrichment goals and advanceworkforce development and training throughout the area. Requirements:Master'sdegree in, higher education administration, human resources management,business, or related field and a minimum of threeyears' experience OR bachelor's degree in, higher education administration,human resources management,business, orrelated field and a minimum of five years' experience. Strong human relations,communications, time management, organizational, decision making and problem-solvingskills. Strong planning, program evaluation and budget management skills.Creative and innovative leadership, coaching, administrative and facilitationskills. Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution and negotiation.Foresight to prevent issues and quick reaction time to resolve issues.Knowledge of trends in adult and continuing education, workforce training andprofessional development. Ability to ascertain and meet community and customerneeds. Broad knowledge, interest and understanding of a wide range of skilledtrade career education and certification requirements. Experience inpost-secondary education, industrial employment and trade union structure. Musthave supervisory and management skills. Ability to build relationships in thecommunity. Duties: 1. Develops partnerships, both internal and external, that lead to student enrollment. These relationships can consist of, but are not limited to, career and technical centers, local companies, service organizations and other like entities.2. Using existing data from the region, advocates and integrates either workforce training or credit programs in center, specifically based on the unique community needs. 3. Increases diverse learning opportunities at the center using technology with the purpose of expanding access to Community College of Allegheny County's student programming, common hour and campus-based meetings (SEIU and/or AFT).4. Represents CCAC on boards of professional, workforce, city, community and civic organizations.5. Researches, develops, and negotiates the management and finances of grants and contracts with local and state government leaders as well as private foundations and non-profit organizations.6. Designs and delivers presentations to local school boards, community-based organizations, non-profit advisory groups, parent groups, other secondary institutions and state agencies and liaisons with school district personnel.7. Supervises center and community training faculty, program coordinators and staff, budget management, business procedures.8. Supervises, facilitates and liaisons with Workforce Development Division admissions, advisement, registration, testing, funding sources, distance learning, while providing quality customer service.9. Meets with individuals throughout the college to discuss current and future plans of the center.10. Leads and develops innovative programming in response to the educational needs of the community.11. Works with the Executive Director of Workforce Development Division and the Center for Teaching and Learning to train new faculty and instructors.12. Performs other job duties as required or as assigned.Clearances:Current criminal record/child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position and to be employed at the College.
