Primary Responsibilities
  • Global Analytics:
  • Design and implement analytics solutions to globally monitor market and health system trends.
  • Lead historical analog projects including search, evaluation, and benchmarking recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate data into actionable insights.
  • Lead identification of information needs and development of project plans to address those needs.
  • Update and manage global performance dashboards.
  • Connect reporting insights together to tell a compelling and persuasive story and deliver clear and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Continuously enhance analytics capabilities through new techniques, data sources, and tool deployment.
  • Manage and deepen alignment with analytics matrix partners around the world.
  • Global Forecasting:
  • Lead quarterly global patient, sales, and manufacturing forecast update process, with strong focus on documentation and governance, creating robust, data-driven forecasting scenarios. Manage global forecast reconciliation and perform 'what if' sense-checks.
  • Conduct ad hoc scenario and profitability analyses quickly and accurately.
  • Maintain competitive pipeline potential assessments for drug classes relevant to Eisai's dementia portfolio.
  • Participate in cross-functional brainstorming sessions to inform commercialization strategy and other business needs.
  • Update and refine forecasting governance processes.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree in Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Operations Research, or related quantitative field is preferred.
  • 8+ years relevant analytics/forecasting experience in pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology. Experience supporting forecasts in realms of high challenge, such as banking is preferred.
  • Mastery of data mining, forecasting methodologies, predictive modeling, and data visualization with strong analytical, coding skills (such as: Python, R, SQL, etc.) plus MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to tie analytics to corporate strategy.
  • Comfort working independently on projects with clear goals but without pre-defined steps or processes.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and people skills to build relationships across the organization and the ability to influence without authority, setting business direction, priorities, and action plans.
  • Experience working on global cross-functional teams across development phases from discovery through launch and initial product uptake. History of working in complex team environments with numerous/diverse stakeholders, including alliance partners.
  • Track record of contributing to high-performing analytics teams.
  • Knowledge of Alzheimer's Disease and other types of dementia is preferred.
  • Experience supporting global biologic pharmaceutical products is preferred.
  • Ability to travel on an as-needed basis to Eisai offices, market research or conference locations.
