The pay for this position ranges from $200,000.00 - $210,000.00.

Overview:

The Director of Global Fleet Management is responsible for all activities related to operations, maintenance (preventive and corrective), commissioning of our fuel cell power plants. The successful candidate will be accountable for all aspects of fleet management including maintenance, troubleshooting, planning, cost, monitoring, engineering change implementation, technical issues reporting and fleet campaigns all to ensure revenue and performance goals of the Generation & Service business are reached and improved year over year.

Responsibilities:
  • Reports directly to GM, Generation & Service with direct support of the business needs.
  • Responsible for executing the department goals, KPI's and developing strategy.
  • Responsible for managing Korean and US field service technician teams and ensures they are empowered, follow process and continuously improving.
  • Responsible for managing Global Monitoring & Control Center (GMCC) which manages, operates, and creates work orders for the global fleet operations 24/7. Ensures to identify continuous process improvements. Ensures training and development of employees are improved and a sense of empowerment and accountability is developed.
  • Responsible for managing the planning team with clear direction and leadership to improve proactive planning and communicates tools supporting our field service technician team and account managers.
  • Responsible for identifying and executing cost reduction projects.
  • Responsible for fleet maintenance and technical improvement implementation to budget.
  • Responsible for identifying continuous improvement and implementing process improvements.
  • Provide leadership, coaching and supervision to department heads.
  • Responsible for data analytics for the continuous development of fleet reliability data maturity.
  • Oversees engineering change order (ECO) and Technical Service Bulletin execution into the fleet. Approves and ensures planning and schedule the most cost-effective solution of implementing ECO/TSB.
  • Provide direction and leadership to the field service managers that execute planned maintenance schedules, troubleshoot and keep our fleet operational 24/7.
  • Specific duties involve but are not limited to supporting P&L, working closely with Director of Asset Management & Customer Service, establishing fleet support plans, identifying cost out ideas, identifying maintenance opportunities, supporting fleet technical issues, responsible for service inventory levels, and spares planning process.
  • Provides data analysis for fleet reliability and works with engineering to establish technical improvement fleet plans.
  • Be a positive role model in embodying the organization's values, leadership and accountability to the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education / Experience: Bachelor of Engineering, required. Master's (Engineering or MBA) strongly desired. Minimum of 10 years professional work experience with a minimum of 5 years aftermarket/service-related experience. P&L experience desired.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Experienced with Computerized Maintenance Management, Enterprise Resource Planning and/or Project Portfolio Management Systems such as MS D365, MS Project, and/or other similar maintenance planning tools.
  • Intermediate skills in MS office (Excel, PPT, …) and Monday.com.
  • Experience planning and performing maintenance and ordering parts in an industrial, manufacturing and/or military environment.
  • Must be quick to grasp system interrelationships using mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation inputs.
  • Must have a working knowledge of basic print reading, including (Piping & Instrumentation Diagram), wiring loop diagrams, and one-line drawings.
  • Must have a working knowledge of most hand tools and test equipment (process meter and thermocouple reader).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong people orientation and relationship building skills.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to work mostly in an office environment.
  • Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver's license through the duration of employment.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally. (1 - 2 international trips per year for 1 - 2 weeks in duration, as required).
  • Must have or be able to successfully obtain and maintain a current US passport.
  • Must be able and willing to travel domestically or internationally.
