The Director of Materials Management is responsible for setting strategy and leading the execution of the company's materials and supply chain initiatives, through materials planning, demand and supply planning, production scheduling, and inventory optimization. Reporting to the EVP of Operations, the Director of Materials Management will identify technology needs for business and systems improvements to ensure operation and supply chain strategies are being met. This role directs and oversees global supply chain management policies, objectives and initiatives.What You Will Do at Graco Strategic Materials, Supply Chain and Demand Planning LeadershipDefine and execute the organization's supply chain and materials management strategy to meet KPI goals and company initiatives while managing expenses.Develop strategies that increase efficiency and speed of the demand and supply chain organization to meet the growth needs of the company, as well as account for economic challenges. Create strong S&OP processes to drive activity and results.Partner with business units and other corporate groups including Sales, Marketing, Production, Procurement and Logistics to understand their materials and demand needs for growth and align initiatives to meet those needs through supply chain execution while fostering a collaborative environment.Analyze supply chain performance data and monitor logistics indicators of the company, keeping management proactively informed of challenges or opportunities.Develop executive level presentations to articulate the materials, demand and supply chain initiatives and their impact on the organization.Technical LeadershipMaintain an in-depth working knowledge of ERP Systems to ensure all new technologies and techniques are being investigated and/or applied.Maintain strong understanding of the latest trends and technologies in the materials field and how they can impact and improve our results.Become a trusted partner with IT on technology upgrades, enhancements and implementations that impact the demand and supply initiatives.Team Leadership and Financial Management Lead, mentor, manage, and staff the Demand and Supply Chain materials team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and promoting a culture of excellence. Drive team performance by setting clear goals, providing ongoing feedback, and facilitating professional growth opportunities. Establish, manage, and be accountable for the annual materials management budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and alignment with organizational strategic objectives. Drive for continuous improvement opportunities and ensure best practices are utilized.What You Will Bring to Graco Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field; Master's degree in Supply Chain or related field preferredAPICS Certification or equivalent preferred.10+ years in materials management or demand and supply chain functionsExcellent leadership skills; 5+ years of team leadership experience preferred. Supply chain or manufacturing leadership experience.Strong understanding of financial metrics and ROI project reporting.Excellent knowledge of system implementation and project management.High level of proficiency in data gathering/reporting tools and ERP systems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong attention to detail while remaining strategic and analytical.Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time, domestic and internation.Accelerators Global industrial manufacturing experience and knowledge.Proven Quality.
