Title: Global Director of Supply Chain

Location: Dallas, Texas

Salary: $135,000 - $155,000

Summary:

The Global Director of Supply Chain plays a crucial role in overseeing the Supply Chain team to provide solutions that enhance and streamline the customer experience. This position involves developing and implementing supply chain strategies, leading initiatives to improve processes, and ensuring alignment across all regions and functions. The role requires both strategic oversight and hands-on management to deliver results effectively.

Duties:

Supply Chain Strategy:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with the company's goals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions within the supply chain.

Procurement Management:

  • Partner with the Global Director of Procurement to manage supplier relationships and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, taking corrective actions as needed.

Inventory Management:

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels.
  • Monitor inventory to maintain appropriate stock levels and avoid excess costs.
  • Lead and improve 3PL vendor performance.

Logistics and Distribution:

  • Oversee logistics and distribution to ensure timely product delivery.
  • Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure cost-effective transportation.
  • Optimize distribution networks to improve delivery times and reduce costs.

Demand Forecasting:

  • Analyze sales data and market trends to create accurate demand forecasts.
  • Work with sales and marketing teams to align supply chain activities with market demand.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain.
  • Monitor global supply chain trends and regulations to anticipate disruptions.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

Performance Metrics:

  • Develop and monitor KPIs to track supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prepare and present supply chain performance reports to senior management.

Compliance and Sustainability:

  • Ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Promote sustainability initiatives within the supply chain.
  • Oversee yearly audits and achieve relevant standards.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in fast-paced supply chain environments with line management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field.

Skills:

  • Expert in line management and prioritizing multiple activities.
  • Proficient in project planning, risk management, and change management.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and handle conflicts effectively.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for customer service and adaptability to new technologies.

Special Requirements:

  • Availability for morning and evening calls to coordinate across time zones.
  • Potential for onsite customer visits and travel depending on the region.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking long distances, standing for extended periods, bending, squatting, kneeling, lifting heavy objects, and working on ladders during cycle count stock takes.
