WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Our Client Services team plays a key role in the delivery of our client accounts and events. An extremely busy, fast paced, exiting and diverse area of the Wasserman Live business, we deliver throughout the US as well as for the clients across the globe. The role of Director - Golf is to provide comprehensive senior client management, support, and direction to both existing and new golf clients across the Client Services team. You will also be expected to support on new business opportunities as they arise within your teams and the wider business. This specific role sits within our Charlotte Team.
The job role will include tasks and responsibilities such as:
* Uphold and deliver the highest standards of client servicing and ensure these are maintained at all times, including follow up, relationship building and trouble-shooting issues as they arise. Offering and implementing positive and effective solutions, guidance, and management support.
* Ensuring consistency of approach and communication and that standardized project processes are followed across all accounts in line with the wider Client Services team, including project de-briefs, learnings, and financial review. In addition, supporting account teams on a day-to-day basis.
* Ensuring project margins within your teams are reviewed and maintained by collaborating closely with the Associate Vice Presidents to facilitate the smooth running of projects.
* Clear communication, focused planning, and ensuring where cost challenges are identified we are proposing, agreeing, and implementing solutions proactively before issues arise.
* Managing multiple budget streams of medium to large value, including financial reporting for your teams and supporting with budget setting as required.
* Feeding into the wider Wasserman events calendar and resource programming, to ensure your team commitments and events are captured, and resources are planned in advance to service all client requirements.
* Leading by example, promote a culture of positivity, inclusivity, development, and knowledge sharing both within your individual teams and across the wider Charlotte office.
* Develop and maintain existing accounts, working with the commercial team to understand and identify new pipeline opportunities, and creating and implementing a clear strategy for client expansion.
* Respond and feed into (where appropriate) new opportunities and RFP submissions for Charlotte and across the wider business, providing consistent and high-quality response documents in line with the wider commercial team and Wasserman Live brand.
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED
* Significant project management experience, demonstrating outstanding attention to detail, planning, time management, and exceptional organizational skills, coupled with a detailed and clear understanding of contract parameters and deliverables.
* Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize, delegate, and lead simultaneously.
* Ability to think on your feet, applying both logic and creativity, evaluating risks and making well-reasoned decisions to resolve issues and progress projects/tasks.
* Ability to negotiate and influence decision making processes including contract execution.
* Management of multiple teams and large events simultaneously, demonstrating planning, foresight and flexibility across client calendars and the wider Wasserman Live business. Ability to move between sectors when required, to meet the needs of the business.
* A professional and collaborative attitude at all times, leading by example and a demonstrated ability to motivate and lead others. Promoting a positive and inclusive working environment.
* Excellent communication skills across a variety of formats. Comfortable directing large groups, leading presentations to both our clients and internal teams.
* Ability to work under pressure, and to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Demonstrated ability to develop team members at various levels, establishing a key role in identifying and delivering staff training needs, and supporting with goal setting and career development of your teams.
