About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director, Ground, Maritime, C2 to lead and oversee the development, integration, and execution of command and control (C2) systems across ground and maritime platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of sensors, networking, and C2 technologies, operational requirements for ground and maritime domains, and the ability to guide multi-disciplinary teams in delivering complex solutions to our defense clients. This role is instrumental in driving business growth and ensuring operational excellence in all C2-related programs.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the strategic roadmap for all sensor, networking, and C2 programs related to ground and maritime systems, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and growth objectives.
  • Program Oversight: Lead cross-functional teams in the design, development, testing, and deployment of C2 solutions, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to customer requirements and budgets.
  • Customer Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for key defense customers, ensuring strong relationships and understanding of their operational needs and evolving mission requirements.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide subject matter expertise in sensor, networking, and C2 systems, ensuring the integration of advanced technologies such as data fusion, real-time decision support, and networked communications across ground and maritime environments.
  • Business Development: Collaborate with business development teams to identify and capture new business opportunities, especially in expanding the company's footprint in sensor, networking, and C2 for ground and maritime applications.
  • Team Development: Mentor and develop engineering and program management staff, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all programs comply with relevant regulations, including ITAR, and that risks are proactively managed throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sensor, networking, and C2 systems development, with a focus on ground and/or maritime applications. Leadership experience in managing complex defense programs is essential.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree in a technical or business discipline is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of sensor, networking, and command and control systems, military operational concepts for ground and maritime domains, and systems integration processes.
  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams, with a strong track record of delivering successful defense-related programs.
  • Active or ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance (Top Secret preferred).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work effectively with senior military and government officials.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with joint and coalition C2 systems and multinational defense programs.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI, autonomous systems, and advanced communications networks in C2 environments.
  • Understanding of the defense acquisition process and contracting mechanisms (FAR/DFARS).
