About the Role:

We are seeking a Director on our Growth team at A B to help us craft and operationalize the vision for the A B of tomorrow. As the Director, Growth, you will be charged with leading new business and marketing efforts in lockstep with the Partner, Head of Growth, building and scaling operational best practices, attracting new clients through telling the A B story, and driving sustainable growth. You ll work alongside the executive leadership team and subject matter experts, as well as discipline leads to achieve our ambition and champion growth.

What You ll Do:

  • Work with executive leadership to accelerate A B s growth and marketing efforts to advance our reputation in the market.
  • Vet incoming pitch opportunities and provide recommendations to agency leadership on which pitches to pursue.
  • Lead and orchestrate A B new business pitches: developing best-in-class RFI/RFP responses, casting and guiding cross-functional teams, building strategies to win and pinpointing any barriers to overcome.
  • Support management of marketing and PR partners to drive forward the A B marketing plan with vigor.
  • Assist in development and drafting of marketing materials such as; creds decks, newsletters, scripts and remarks, editorial pieces, Q&A s and more.
  • Oversee the development of new case studies, working closely with business leaders across the agency.
  • Support junior Growth talent ensuring that they are growing, developing and providing value to the team by managing backgrounders, materials upkeep, etc.
  • Be accountable for accurate financial reporting to A B via Pipedrive CRM.
  • Understand the changing agency landscape, identifying our competitors points of difference (and their weaknesses) to create competitive advantage.
  • Assist finance leads with scope negotiations and staffing new clients.
  • Use new business pitches as a training ground for new talent within the agency, recruiting volunteers for pitches and special assignments.
  • Support leadership s long-term prospecting efforts and development of external prospecting strategies.

What You ll Need:

  • 5-8 years of working experience, with at least 4 years in agency new business development and across relevant backgrounds such as philanthropy, journalism, professional services, government or marketing/business sectors
  • Proven ability to guide cross-functional teams to a common vision and make new business a culture that the agency rallies around.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills.
  • Proven ability to demonstrate an outstanding degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple growth and marketing initiatives under the pressures of tight timelines and lean resources.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, with a track record for building things (models, products, ways of working) that have never been built before.
  • Ability to manage up to C-level leadership, setting expectations and flagging potential issues before they happen.
  • Has a personal commitment to and knowledge of social justice and a passion for advancing progressive social change.
  • A relentless competitive nature and hunger to win.

This role may require occasional travel to meet with partners, donors, and stakeholders by attending conferences, workshops, or other events relevant to the organization's mission and business interests. Seasonality of the business may require additional work hours.

The total compensation for this position would be between $125,000 and $150,000 annually, including bonus/commission, and will be commensurate with experience.
