The Team As the Head of Risk Relationship Management at Upstart, you will lead the teams that act as primary liaisons for external partners on all compliance and risk-related matters. How youll make an impact: Lead the teams that manage compliance and risk-related relationships with Upstarts most critical external partners. Develop and maintain productive, collaborative relationships with senior leadership at Upstarts lending partners. Act as a close partner and trusted advisor to leaders in Upstarts Lending Partnerships and Capital Markets teams. Partner with Upstarts Risk organization leadership to maintain expertise in compliance and risk programs. Cultivate a deep understanding of Upstarts products, services, and risk and compliance programs. Ensure audit/exam related requests and inquiries receive timely responses. Oversee and continuously seek to improve your teams request intake/management systems. Provide leadership to a team of compliance and risk professionals. Act as a culture leader for the risk organization. What were looking for: Bachelor's degree or equivalent. 10 years compliance and regulatory experience in consumer lending. Prior experience managing high-touch relationships with senior compliance and risk professionals. Preferred qualifications: Excellent communication and relationship management skills. Excellent judgment and decision-making capability. Superior organization and project management skills. Self-starter mentality with accountability. Strong commitment to ethics. Flexibility and willingness to learn. The anticipated base salary for this position is expected to be within the below range. Your actual base pay will depend on your geographic location.
