Job Duties
CLINIC OPERATIONS Provides management oversight and leadership to the THPG hospitalist service line in assigned territory. Develops, trains, and mentors practice managers and employees. Ensures overall smooth operations of services line. Serve as a liaison and advocate for providers. Ensures providers are working their contracted number of shifts and report out the data on a monthly basis.FINANCE Ensures that operations are on budget and in compliance. Includes keeping operations and providers performing at optimal levels in terms of productivity and financial performance. In collaboration with the senior director, assists in developing the operating and capital budgets for assigned practices. Prepare proformas for changes to existing services or potential new services. Calculate provider bonus payouts (including Productivity, Quality, Citizenship and HCAHPS) as needed.HUMAN RESOURCES Ensure all company policies and procedures are implemented and followed in the service line. Informs the appropriate director or senior leader (human resources, quality, compliance, legal, service excellence) of any issues of non-compliance and obtain guidance in taking corrective action, when necessary.REVENUE CYCLE Partners with MSO to ensure daily and monthly tasks at the clinic are completed. Monitor and manage service line metrics (i.e Charge Review WQ and Charge Edit WQ volumes, VOB, PCR, Denials, etc.)STRATEGIC INITIATIVES Creates action plans for the established KPI's for THPG Hospitalists. Ensures that action plans are delivered upon for the assigned practices. Request, collect, maintain and track quality metrics on a monthly basis and prepare 6-month hospitalist dashboards for each entity.
Education H.S. Diploma or Equivalent 4 Years Additional experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree Required Or Bachelor's Degree Business or healthcare related field RequiredExperience 6 years previous physician practice management experience (with Bachelor's Degree) Required. Or, 10 years previous physician practice management experience (without Bachelor's Degree) Required Hospital Experience a PlusSkills Demonstrate business, computer and analytic/financial skills Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills Proven experience in a customer-service environment Possesses excellent organizational skills Takes initiative and is self-motivated to succeed Shows compassion and humor Able to make wise decisions which balance the relevant issues and/or conflicts Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff, providers, patients, and families Ability to handle sensitive and confidential employee information in a professional manner Ability to plan and coordinate multiple administrative projects Ability to be highly efficient, organized, and accurate in work Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with others Ability to actively participate in a team environment Ability to project a pleasant and professional image.Why Texas Health?
