Deaconess's highly collaborative HR team is seeking a Director of HR with significant human resources experience, ideally in the healthcare sector. Job Overview: The HR Director is responsible for developing and implementing human resources strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives. This role involves overseeing HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance, and organizational development. The HR Director will lead and mentor the HR team, ensuring the effective execution of HR policies and programs to support the company's growth and success. Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's business goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with senior management to assess and address organizational needs and challenges.
- Advise on organizational design and workforce planning to support business growth.
- Example: Create a workforce plan anticipating future needs and align talent acquisition with business objectives.
- Recruitment and Talent Management:
- Oversee the recruitment process to attract and retain top talent.
- Develop and implement talent management and succession planning strategies.
- Enhance employee engagement and retention through effective performance management systems.
- Example: Implement leadership development programs and succession planning to build a pipeline of future leaders.
- Employee Relations:
- Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and disputes, ensuring fair and effective resolution.

- Compliance and Risk Management:

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in HR management, with a proven track record in leadership roles.
- Graduation from an accredited university or college with a Bachelor's degree in personnel management, or business administration.
- Capability to plan, advise, and direct the implementation of all personnel activities of the System hospitals, requiring demonstrated competence in the theory and practice of personnel and labor laws.
- Perceptive and demonstrating interpersonal skills to relate to people so as to establish support, win confidence and gain participation.
- High degree of verbal ability to express ideas and views effectively.
- Ability to solve problems relating to personnel disputes and institutional policies/ procedures requiring a counseling and problem-solving orientation.
- High degree of written communication abilities to effectively draft new policies and procedures as needed; conduct HR-related studies, etc.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with HR metrics and reporting.
