OPEN JOB: Director, Human Resources and Labor Relations LOCATION: Greenville, Texas SALARY: $120,500 to $224,500 BENEFITS - Full RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE Bonus Eligible - Yes The Director, Human Resourcesand Labor Relations is responsible for developing and executing strategic people initiatives to optimize the company's Operations organization within the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Sector. ISR Operations is a 2,400-person organization which includes a 1,500-person bargaining unit specializing in aircraft modernization and modification.
- The Director will be responsible for union contract strategy, preparation and negotiations working with both union and company leadership.
- This position has six direct reports comprised of labor professionals and HR Business Partners.
- This position will be located in Greenville, TX site as this role will support the site operations team as well as Sector Operations leaders across the sector.
- This role will report to the ISR Vice President, Human Resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Partner directly with the sector and site leadership team to deliver strategies to drive engagement, talent acquisition and development, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement in support of the annual operating plan (AOP).
- Serve as a key member of the ISR HR team in the development and execution of HR strategic priorities. Collaborate with other HR Site Leaders to drive Sector Operations HR initiatives across all sites
- Ensure the consistent and unbiased application of various HR processes and programs and their alignment with organizational needs, business priorities and in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement, as applicable.
- Use metrics/analytics to drive performance and people decisions in developing HR strategies for engagement, retention and diversity and inclusion.
- Collaborate with site leaders to create workforce and staffing plans to ensure availability of human capital necessary to accomplish business results.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with leadership and employees and provide advice and counsel to both on employee-related and organizational matters.
- Take ownership and exhibit leadership for various Human Resources projects, initiatives and labor relations at the sector level, as well as drive strategic goals down into the HR organization.
- Manage and develop aligned team members; establish goals, measure performance, identify development needs and opportunities to build a strong, agile HR department.
- Serve as advisor, mentor, and coach for leaders in support of achieving objectives.
- Ensures best practices relative to Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Organizational Development and Talent Management
- Effectively communicate and promote HR and business strategy to all levels of the organization
- Strategize with labor representatives and site leaders to establish the company's bargaining position during negotiations. Prepare negotiation materials for senior leadership/executive review. Manage the negotiation budget and process.
REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's Degree with 15 years related experience or Graduate Degree with 13 years of related experience. In lieu of degree minimum 19 years of related experience.
- 5 years in a leadership role in Human Resources and experience in leading labor relations for a bargained population
- Experience with interpreting collective bargaining agreements and negotiating with union representatives
- Experience developing strategy with collective bargaining and reporting up to senior leadership
- Experience working in the Aerospace and Defense or manufacturing industry preferred
- Strong HR Functional knowledge with experience in Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Talent Management and Employee Relations
- Demonstrated track record of building strong business relationships with business leaders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong presentation skills with experience delivering presentations to all levels of the organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel as needed
- Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance, which requires US Citizenship
PREFERRED SKILLS (NOT REQUIRED): - Experience with Aviation Industry
- Experience supporting large organizations
