This position will lead our HR Business Partner team in delivering impactful HR talent solutions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, data-driven thought partner who accelerates problem-solving and drives business outcomes through effective human capital strategies. In collaboration with ChristianaCare Medical Group leadership, the HR Director will offer expert guidance in key areas including people strategy, culture and engagement, organizational efficiency, workforce planning, human capital metrics, and succession management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with Medical Group Executives and the HR leadership team to align HR strategy with organizational goals and drive business success.
  • Talent Strategy: Guide executives in translating business strategy into talent strategy that reflects and strengthens the culture of ChristianaCare.
  • HRBP Model Evolution: Lead the development of the HRBP model to better align with business goals and provide expert HR consultation to the Medical Group's physician and operational executives.
  • Team Leadership: Direct the Human Resources Business Partner team, consisting of three professionals, to review and analyze Human Capital metrics, assess risks, and create remediation strategies when necessary.
  • Data-Driven Initiatives: Proactively identify and assess key trends, utilizing data to drive strategic HR initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Diversity, Inclusion & Engagement, Compensation, and HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to ensure equity and fair outcomes across HR programs and talent solutions.
  • HR Service Coordination: Oversee the coordination of HR services across various operational areas, ensuring clear communication and policy interpretation while providing guidance as needed.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities and business relationships simultaneously.
  • Agile, curious, and solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment and remain resilient in the face of challenges.
  • Experience in providing value-added HR consultation to accelerate high-velocity decision-making and business goal achievement.
  • Strategic thinker who proactively identifies opportunities, analyzes and interprets data to determine root causes, and formulates actionable plans.
  • Results-driven, able to strategically solve complex business problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Change agent committed to supporting leadership as the Medical Group continues to advance key strategic priorities and system-wide initiatives.

Position Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of people leadership experience.
  • Ten years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources, ideally in a large, matrixed environment supporting decentralized clients.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred.
