Requirements / Qualifications Under the general direction of the Assistant Superintendent, Educational Services, the Director II of Career Technical Education (CTE) is responsible for the development and oversight of all areas of AVUHSD's Career Technical courses, pathways, and academies. The Director is responsible for collaborating with all educational partners to establish and implement comprehensive career and technical education programs that prepare students for college and career QUALIFICATIONS Education: Completion of a Master's Degree or higher including all courses needed to meet credential requirements. Credential: Completion of a clear primary credential and an administrative credential required. Experience: Five years successful administrative experience with increasing responsibility. Knowledge: Professional specialization in principles and practices in management, thorough knowledge of instruction, budget practices, supervisory techniques, process and procedures related to education. A broad working knowledge of organizational management practices as applied to the analysis and evaluation of programs, policies and operational needs. Knowledge of principles of supervision, training, and performance evaluation; pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations; effective practices and strategies to support struggling students; and district organization, operations, policies and objectives. Well-developed human relations skills sufficient to prepare and deliver talks to large and diverse audiences, to motivate a multi-level team and resolve conflicts. Requires advanced writing skills to prepare communications. Original copies of certain documents will be required to be produced at the time of offer of position.
