SUMMARY: The Director of Radiology directs the daily activities of the Radiology Department, including Radiology modalities of PACS and Specialty Imaging. Responsible for budgets, equipment, and providing input to the V.P. of Clinical Services in all employment and budgetary decisions affecting the Imaging Department. Performs specialized tasks involving Imaging and special procedures and assumes responsibility for accuracy and timeliness in reporting.

QualificationsEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree required. Graduate of an approved AMA School of Radiology Technology. Minimum of 3 years Supervisory experience required in a Radiology Department. Must have knowledge and experience in managing PACS, ultrasound, angiographies, nuclear medicine, computerized tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging. Minimum five (5) years experience as a Radiology Technologist.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS: Current California State License ARRT and CRT License. Membership in the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required. For fluoroscopy departments, a current California State License Fluoroscopy is also required. BLS certification required.
