Position SummaryTo plan, manage, educate, and execute the Cooperative's Information Technology systems and cybersecurity activities.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESA. Provide supervision and guidance to the IT Systems Specialist in their efforts to support the Cooperative's information systems and to provide internal technical support.B. Ensure the management of enterprise systems, hardware and software including upgrades, implementations, budget preparation, replacement schedules, and license management. Systems include but are not limited to the enterprise network including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, servers, domain controllers, storage array networks, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft SQL server, VMware, Veeam, and telecommunications/IVR.C. Research, develop, and promote layered cybersecurity protocols and activities including but not limited to crafting associated policies, incident response and reporting, scenario table-top exercises, passwords and access, patch management, penetration testing, intrusion and detection, vulnerability scans, and employee training.D. Partner with Manager of Engineering to ensure Operational Technology communications and security of Industrial Control Systems.E. Provide project leadership, guidance, and support to employees, Managed Services Providers, and contractors as needed.F. Partner with CXO/VP of Member Services to maintain Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance.G. Ensure timely troubleshooting of user PC, phone, mobile device, and software issues.H. Evaluate and recommend new technologies, policies, and procedures, and participate in business process improvement projects to eliminate waste and create value.I. Direct the development and delivery of user training resources on new technologies, equipment, and software.J. Establish guidelines and methods for all systems backups and monitor proper completion of backups.K. Plan for and provide guidance in the creation and execution of information technology disaster recovery needs.L. Actively participate with the Ohio Cooperative IT Managers Association and NRECA's Business Technology programs.M. Provide after-hours technical support and response to priority network alerts and notifications.N. Exercise professional courteous conduct in dealing with members/potential members, Board members, and other employees.O. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to policies, procedures, and government regulations.P. Provide support during major outages by assisting in whatever manner necessary as prescribed in the Emergency Outage Plan.Q. Assist in achieving a greater degree of teamwork by performing all other duties as assigned.Job Related QualificationsEDUCATIONA minimum of a four-year degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Management Information Systems, or a related field is required.EXPERIENCEA minimum of five years' IT experience is required. Experience in the utility industry is desired.ABILITIES AND SKILLSâ ¢ Expert understanding of basic computer equipment including but not limited to switches, routers, Wi-Fi, VOIP, and network client/server technologies.â ¢ Expert understanding of industry-accepted cybersecurity protocols.â ¢ Expert understanding of Microsoft and Apple products.â ¢ Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.â ¢ Proven vendor management skills.â ¢ Proficient project management skills.â ¢ Must be able to work with limited supervision.â ¢ Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with proven ability to present technical issues to multi-level users in a clear and understandable manner.â ¢ Working knowledge of IT backup planning, execution, and disaster recovery.Working Conditions:Typically, this position will require normal office hours with occasional evening and weekend hours. Appropriate attire and a professional demeanor are necessary. Must maintain a valid Ohio driver's license.
