The Opportunity
Plan and direct the information processing activities of the organization and coordinate the effective design, implementation and operation of information systems and applications.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, develop and direct the operation of information technology systems.
- Plan and coordinate all investigations, feasibility studies and surveys of proposed and existing information systems and machine applications.
- Guide the selection, installation and use of computing equipment and software.
- Maintain current knowledge of equipment, systems and programming techniques appropriate to the organization.
- Participate in the training of key management with data processing techniques.
- Set policies, procedures, technical standards, methods, and priorities.
- Control and recommend budgets.
- Control the security of information systems.
- Direct maintenance work and quality control to ensure the efficient and timely operation of the information technology function.
- Monitor operations and develop improvements.
- Control the selection, development and training of information technology professionals and other staff and monitor their performance.
- Understands and contributes to sector strategy and translates business strategy in an aligned IT strategy and portfolio of programs, projects and applications.
- Identify business capabilities/outcomes that can be enabled by disruptive/emerging technologies and business designs for our customers
- Partner with leadership, program teams, product teams in driving outcomes, monitoring and tracking progress of strategic initiatives.
- Define approach, framework, methodologies for driving outcomes from understanding problem statement to providing recommendations
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of products, solutions, competition, customer, industry trends and digital trends
- Understand the specific challenges and opportunities linked to the regulatory, legal and economic situation across countries and business units. Consulting toward sector senior leadership on IT strategy, tools and solutions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration or another discipline relevant for the healthcare industry or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years IT experience in large or mid-size multinational healthcare organization.
- Broad IT expertise in various disciplines, like systems development, infrastructure etc.
- Strong organizational skills, including program/project governance and increased levels of staff oversight. Strong interdisciplinary, intercultural, influence, and networking skills.
- Experience with GxP validation and vendor management.
- Healthcare commercial, development, and manufacturing business process knowledge, as related to IT.

The base pay for this position is $162,000.00– $324,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
