Summary of Job
The Director, Market Insights & Analytics role at Soleno requires a hands-on, passionate, analytical, and collaborative individual focused on building and overseeing the programs and initiatives that support qualitative and quantitative market research and secondary analytics for the DCCR. This role will provide strategic and tactical oversight in the hands-on development, implementation, and management of data-driven brand performance assessment and insights gathering to inform marketing strategy, campaign management, and the related deployment and execution. The role will build highly collaborative working relationships with the broader Commercial Analytics and Operations team and cross-functional stakeholders across the Sales, Marketing, and Access teams. Externally, the Lead will work with various data, analytics, and operations partners and agencies to successfully lead the brand performance review and Marketing plan execution. This role reports directly to the VP of Commercial Analytics and Operations.
Responsibilities
Complete understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, application, and hands-on working knowledge of marketing analytics, sales analytics, decision science, and quantitative market research.Direct and implement primary market research for qualitative exploration and quantitative assessment of markets, products, and companies across multiple customers (patients, payers, and physicians as needed).Offer objective quantitative analyses of DCCR performance marketing campaigns and lead the development of business cases to identify key opportunities and address critical business issues for the brand.Analyze and monitor the performance of key brands/competition through management and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicate results and recommendations to the brand teams.Collaborate with marketing leadership to lead and direct monthly and quarterly business review meetings to understand national performance and present root-cause analysis for deviations from expectations.Conduct analytics projects with marketing to guide HCP, patient segmentation, and outreach and engagement strategy.Support insight-driven forecast assumptions discussions that are future-looking, market and competitive intelligence-driven, and flexible enough to meet the needs of evolving portfolio priorities.Qualifications
BA or BS degree required. Master's degree in business, marketing, or social sciences preferred.10+ years' related experience in marketing sciences, market research and/or management consulting.8+ years' experience in the bio/pharmaceutical or related field with direct responsibilities using research and analytics to influence the decision process of brand and commercial leadership strategy in support of marketed products; launch experience is a plus.Deep expertise in generating commercial insights from large transactional data sets, including medical Claims and Specialty Pharmacy data.Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action; excellent analytical skills and an ability to communicate complex issues in a simple way and to orchestrate plans to resolve issues and mitigate risks.Demonstrates strategic enterprise thinking to find innovative ways to serve patients and the business.Focuses on the few critical priorities and delivers superior results.Strong ability to elevate the capabilities of the organization for now and the future.Experience working with all levels of management and consulting with key business stakeholders.
