Communication # Branding: Directs the organization#s marketing and public relations strategic and tactical activities for internal and external communication. Leads issues management efforts. Ensures senior leadership is apprised of current issues and events in an ongoing, timely and appropriate manner. Coordinates website and social media updates, maintenance and upgrades - ensures that new and consistent information (article links, stories and events) is posted regularly and that the website is regularly refreshed to keep messaging and branding fresh. Brings emerging trends in marketing and new media to incorporate with traditional marketing. Market Research: Acquires and analyzes market intelligence via competitive analyzes and research to strengthen relationships, improve satisfaction, and boost utilization in key clinical services. Organizational Representative: Represents the hospital to various community organizations at business, civic, and social functions. #Initiates and responds to sponsorship and partnership opportunities with complementary organizations. #Directs and oversees special events, developing the appropriate goals and emphasis of each event. Serves as official spokesperson to the media. Determines the appropriateness of media requests for information and formulate the content, timing and manner of media releases in conformance with policies. Vendor Relationship: Directs the work of external advertising agencies, freelance writers, graphic designers, photographers and others, as appropriate, to develop promotional campaigns and events. Human Resource Management: Directs the management activities of assigned areas. Guides directors, managers and supervisors in the selection, hiring, training and development of staff. #Works with Human Resources to develop programs and initiatives that contribute to a positive work environment. Regulatory and Corporate Compliance: Monitors and evaluates new or revised regulatory agency and industry laws, regulations and standards applicable to assigned areas and ensures that assigned activities comply with all requirements. Financial Management # Reporting: Directs and participates in the preparation and administration of operating and capital budgets; evaluates staffing, equipment and supply needs; prepares justifications and cost benefit analyses; oversees the procurement of supplies and equipment. Measures and evaluates outcomes of marketing strategies and initiatives utilizing appropriate qualitative and quantitative methods. Reports regularly to leadership on results of efforts. Albany Med Health System: Represents Saratoga Hospital as the primary contact with the AMHS marketing and communications team With support from the Saratoga Hospital team, collaborates, participates in and contributes to AMHS meetings and initiatives; assumes and/or delegates AMHS assignments and initiatives.
