Reportingto the Chief Financial Officer, the Director of Materials Management is responsible for leadingand directing the materials management department. This includes overseeing theprocurement process, inventory management, and distribution of medicalsupplies, equipment, and services within the hospital. Thisrole ensures that the hospital's supply chain operates efficiently, effectively,and in compliance with regulatory requirements to support the delivery of high-qualitypatient care. Ability to meet all job & physical requirements as outlined in job description or as agreed through a work place accommodation. Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply ChainManagement, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in materials managementwithin a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of purchasing administration, inventorymanagement, legal aspects of purchasing, contract negotiations, familiaritywith products and equipment sources necessary to evaluate and procure these items
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in inventory management software and otherrelevant tools
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards
Preferred Skills: - Certification in Supply Chain Management (CSCM) or Certified MaterialsResource Professional (CMRP)
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies
