Develops maintenance and improvement plans. Establishes departmental goals, policies, procedures and standards including streamlining and automating processes, improving efficiency and customer service. Develops and manages departmental budgets and supports large capital projects. Provides strategic leadership and supervision to staff. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in business administration, facilities management, or related field.
- Five (5) years of facility management or related experience.
- Two (2) years supervisory or leadership experience.
- Related work experience may be substituted for education requirement. One (1) year of related work experience can be substituted for one (1) year of education.
- Experience analyzing energy conservation data and budget development and management experience.
- Valid driver's license and ability to establish and maintain driver eligibility under CSU's Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in utility budgeting, maintenance and budgeting software, facility management software, i.e. TMA.
- Experience supervising in a union environment.
- Working knowledge of building automation systems.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- Skilled in project management, problem-solving, analysis, follow-through, influence and persuasion. Ability to function as systems thinker and be solution-minded with a global perspective.
- Ability to take ownership of projects, anticipate department needs and develop appropriate responses, meet deadlines, attention to detail, strong analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, Customer Focus attitude, and ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
