Job Description The Director - North America Supply Chain and Logistics is responsible for all end-to-end supply chain activities to support production across all North American manufacturing sites. Responsibilities include coordination and leadership of Purchasing, Procurement, Planning and Distribution. A thorough working knowledge of procurement, planning, inventory management, forecasting, and project planning is required. Experience with advanced supply chain concepts in a regulated environment is key. The skills mentioned must be carried out in a timely manner, with some degree of autonomy, and minimal direction or intervention. Minimum Requirements

  • 10 years experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Proven track record of success in complex manufacturing environment
  • In depth knowledge of ERP systems and software
  • Demonstrated multi-site responsibility is a plus
  • Lean / Kaizen experience
Job Requirements
  • Develop and implement Supply Chain policies and procedures that are in line with our company mission and that help us meet our KPIs and service levels to the customer.
  • Ensures the necessary resources, systems and tools are available for accurate production and demand fulfillment within the North American Supply Chain.
  • Ensures that Supply Chain performance metrics are developed and utilized to make daily management decisions. Be a change agent to drive continuous improvement across metrics.
  • Develop and implement a corporate strategic purchasing program to help improve material costs and availability across all sites.
  • Develop personnel and delegate responsibilities as necessary to grow organizational bench strength.
  • Assess and implement new technologies when appropriate to increase efficiency and accuracy of the North American supply chain.
  • Actively participate in regular meetings and collaboration efforts with teams from various regions, including North American and Europe, regarding supply chain elements such as Sales & Operations Planning, stocking levels, watch-outs and key needs for products. Manage the Sales & Operations Planning process for the North American sites.
  • Responsible for inventory levels and ensures stocking levels are adequate to satisfy operational needs and working capital goals. Also ensure that action plans are implemented to address any potential issues.
  • Identify and implement strategies to improve quality of service, productivity and profitability. This includes but is not limited to budget compliance, reduction in OPEX and improvement on CAPEX items. Change oriented work on common expenses and ways to reduce waste in the organization.
  • Evaluate and manage the performance of staff including regular coaching sessions, performance reviews and annual objectives.
  • Report and communicate regularly on topics for supply chain, KPIs, and other group metrics.
