Director of Account ServicesThe role, in brief: The Director of Account Services is the most senior person dedicated to account service in the agency. Accountable for high-level leadership across assigned clients, and as such, needs to understand the clients' business, its engines of profitability, the competitive landscape, the challenges of the category, the internal politics of the client organization, and more. These should be evaluated at least annually and will be the foundation of the annual operating instructions and goals that are agreed upon at the leadership level; the operating instructions are the leadership responsibility of the Director of Account Services to ensure the highest level of service and client satisfaction. The Director of Account Services will also partner with the President to help drive revenue, ensure efficient delivery of the promised scope and identify growth opportunities. Responsibilities include: To be the liaison of the best and brightest thinking, output and results created for both the clients and agency in the broader world.

- Supports Human Resources in discipline training efforts
- Establishes relationships across all agency disciplines and agency businesses
- Financially responsible for all account costs
- Sets quality standards for the accounts and enforces adherence
- Aggressively pursues new ways to contribute to overall agency and client profitability.
- Participates in new business development
- Demonstrates desire for staff improvement and education throughout the entire agency through leadership feedback and direct engagement
- Is intellectually honest and discreet
- Stewards agency vision, cultural norms and mission in daily engagements
Reporting directly to the Director of AS
- All account services team members, including but not limited to:
- Account Supervisors
- Account Executives
- Account Coordinators
Measures of Accountability
- The clients of the agency are making progress toward achievement of their marketing objectives and credit the agency for its contributions
- Programs and projects are completed accurately, on time, and within budget
- Relationship among AS team in each office and with other functional departments are harmonious and productive
- Client and agency business goals, as outlined in operating instructions, are met or exceeded
- Coordination with the leadership team for the smooth administration of cross-functional relationships, standardized procedures/processes, and data/information processes
- Leads the team in such a way that employee morale and esprit de corps is tangible and evident
- Connects with client in such a way that VJ is always a recommended solution to a business problem
Those who succeed in this role have the following qualifications:
- 12+ years working in an advertising agency (full service, strategy, or tech) or in a marketing consulting capacity
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
- Dedicated to providing excellent service, delivering a positive, polished, and consultative customer experience
- A goal-oriented leader who fearlessly drives execution, can advocate for a vision and strategic plan, and is willing to dive into operational details alongside the frontline team
- Possesses a data-driven mindset with a proven track record of leveraging metrics and insights to make well-informed decisions
- Proactively plans for both short-term and long-term objectives, effectively managing team resources while maintaining task scope and deadlines
- Meticulous attention to detail and a strong preference for producing high-quality, aesthetically pleasing products, websites, and designs
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of authoritative expression while actively listening to others
- Naturally inquisitive and committed to asking clarifying questions to eliminate assumptions and ensure alignment among all parties
- Proficient in explaining complex technical challenges to clients, emphasizing the value, impact, and consequences of decisions

Schedule and Location:Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm. Remote work available Mondays and Fridays. This role is based out of our Denver, CO office.Compensation: The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000.The salary for this role takes into account a wide range of factors, including but not limited to; skill sets, industry tenure, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed is a range estimate with the purpose of giving transparency to prove equitability, internally and externally, and has been adjusted based on geographic location. At Vladimir Jones, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each hire.
