Our client, a top-tier, global Am Law 200 firm is seeking a Director of Administration for their New York City office. Day to day responsibilities:
General Office Administration
- Creating an environment that promotes high morale and encouraging workplace productivity, the highest level of client service, and overall effectiveness.
- Functioning as a bridge between the local office and Global Services staff resident in the New York office.
- Actively partnering with Global Services departments such as Finance, Recruiting, Professional Development, Human Resources, Legal Operations, Practice Group Management, Conflicts, Diversity, Pro Bono, Records, Marketing, and Information Technology and Procurement to ensure aligned delivery of services.
- Overseeing all aspects of New York office operations and facilities in collaboration with the Senior Manager, Operations: mailroom, office supplies, office security, office maintenance, and office systems (HVAC, security, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
Finance
- Preparing and managing the annual office budget, planning, forecasting, and conducting variance analysis.
Catering, Conference Center Services
- Overseeing the catering function and client-facing conference rooms in the New York office in partnership with Catering Management.
Human Resources
- Partnering with Chief Human Resources Officer and the Senior Managers, Human Resources to oversee recruitment, onboarding and orientation, managing employee relations, leading performance management, compensation, and bonus cycles for local professional staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of administrative management experience in a law firm.
- Experience with heavy growth environments, multi-office leadership teams, and organizational change management.
- Solutions-oriented with the ability to analyze complex management issues and present solutions.
- Space construction management experience.
- Human resources experience including employee relations, state and federal law, compensation and performance management.
*Note that this position requires working on-site 4-5 days/week.
Compensation package includes base salary of approximately $375,000 - $450,000K (DOE) plus generous bonus, vacation (4 weeks the first year) and benefits.
