Overview:
The Director of Aircraft Maintenance is responsible for maintaining and repairing the avionic and mechanical components of aircraft. This position is also responsible for maintaining the annual maintenance budget as well as tracking maintenance performed and complying with all maintenance programs.
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include:
- Preflight maintenance inspections for every trip originating from the aircrafts home base.
- Postflight maintenance inspections for every trip ending at the aircrafts home base.
- All scheduled and unscheduled maintenance that can be performed with current shop capacity resources.
- Interior and Exterior Detailing
- Create log entries for work performed and file and maintain aircraft logbooks accordingly.
- Act as point of contact for all third-party maintenance.
- Travel to airplane as needed if it is broken down and unable to dispatch.
- Maintain annual maintenance budget and ensure that any budget variances follow the appropriate approval process.
- Coordinate 3rd party maintenance vendors as needed following the appropriate approval process.
- Maintain maintenance tracking software, Traxxall to ensure compliance with manufacturers maintenance programs.
- Travel to international destinations with the airplane to ensure efficient maintenance work as needed.
This position is Full-Time, Exempt and reports to the Chief Pilot.
Qualifications:
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications
- Airframe and Powerplant Certification required. Inspection Authorization Mechanic preferred.
- Degree or certification of completion in Aviation Maintenance Science or Aviation Maintenance Technology from a professional-technical school thats certified by the FAA or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
Travel Requirements
- 10% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
