Job Summary:

Exciting opportunity to be a senior leader in the Compliance function at a leading multi-family office. Reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing, implementing and continuing to enhance policies, procedures, controls and programs to ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and Know Your Customer (KYC) related laws, rules, regulations and regulatory expectations. This role involves leading small a team, overseeing and enhancing firmwide BSA/AML, OFAC and KYC programs, conducting various risk assessments, staying abreast of relevant regulatory changes, and collaborating with internal stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Maintaining and enhancing the firmwide BSA/AML, OFAC and KYC compliance programs, e.g., bank holding company, banks, trust companies, investment company, investment adviser, broker dealer, etc.

* Serve as the BSA/AML and OFAC Officer and Subject Matter Expert, communicating cross-functionally to ensure compliance, identify potential gaps, provide recommendations, and oversee and implement program enhancements

* Oversight of, and ongoing development, enhancement and implementation of the BSA/AML/OFAC risk assessment processes, related compliance policies and procedures, and related surveillance, monitoring and screening processes and platforms, including suspicious activity monitoring and the KYC due diligence program

* Oversight of all SAR and CTR reporting/filing

* Maintaining continual awareness and tracking of relevant bank regulatory (e.g., FRB, OCC, FDIC, FinCEN, CIMA) developments and industry best practices in the BSA/AML, OFAC and KYC topical areas

* Provide primary support and assist with the management of BSA/AML, OFAC and KYC focused regulatory exams and internal audits (i.e., independent testing)

* Develop and deploy AML/BSA, OFAC and KYC related training

* Provide a hands on approach to effectively manage and mentor a small team of compliance professionals

Qualifications:

* 15+ years of BSA/AML, OFAC and KYC related compliance experience in a financial services organization (e.g., banking/trust/wealth management industry),

* Bachelor's degree required, J.D. beneficial

* Deep and demonstrated knowledge of relevant bank (and financial service firm) BSA/AML, OFAC and KYC related rules, regulations and regulatory expectations

* Experience leading, managing, and mentoring a team of compliance professionals

* Ability to identify and escalate issues where appropriate, as well as take a diplomatic approach in working with staff at all levels, as well as legal, business and other operational partners

* Ability to successfully interact with regulators and internal/external auditors, as well as effectively manage regulatory examinations and related issue tracking and remediation

* Ability to effectively present and communicate to key governance committees and senior/Executive Management

* Familiarity with SAR and CTR reporting/filing requirements and processes

* Familiarity with Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) requirements

* Familiarity with automated BSA/AML and OFAC screening, surveillance and risk management software, e.g., FCRM, Compliance Link or similar platforms

* Ability to innovate, particularly regarding technology and automation solutions and enhancements

* Relevant certifications, a plus, e.g., CAMS, CAFP

The base salary range for this position is ($225,000 - $275,000). Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skills, experience, and qualification for the role. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. In addition, this position may be eligible for a discretionary incentive based on individual and company performance.
