Summary:The Director of Asset Management is directly responsible for ensuring the long-term financial health of the development portfolio of the Agency through on-site property managers. The Director of Asset Management is responsible for reviewing and analyzing the properties against benchmark performance and assisting in the development of corrective action plans.Responsible for performing a variety of complex and diverse managerial and administrative duties pertaining to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Agency's public, private, and mixed finance housing properties. Revises policies, procedures, and plans to ensure and maintain program compliance with HUD's changing regulations and guidelines and makes administrative and management decisions concerning overall operations of applicable plans.Specifically responsible for overseeing the operations of HACB's tax-credit properties and overseeing the construction process of new locations being developed. Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, or related field from an accredited college or university is preferred and three (3) to (5) years of progressively responsible experience in management or in an administrative capacity in property management and specifically LIHTC properties or low-income housing.The following Certifications must be obtained within one (1) year of employment or other allowable period as authorized by the CEO: NSPIRE for HCV Certification (Nan McKay) Fair Housing & Reasonable Accommodation Certification (Nan McKay) Fundamentals of LIHTC Management Certification (Nan McKay)WORKING AT HACB:The Housing Authority of the City of Brownsville has been serving the low-income residents of Brownsville since 1938.
