Job Description:
Reporting to the Dean of Student Affairs, the Director of Athletics is a strong leader and administrator of SUNY Maritime College's NCAA Division III intercollegiate varsity athletics program, club sports, intramurals and physical education. The Director of Athletics works cooperatively with students, faculty and staff to advance the college's athletics program, recruit and retain exceptional coaches and promote the academic achievement and physical well-being of students.
The Director of Athletics is responsible for development, administration, and compliance of the athletics program and for the day-to-day operation of the athletics facilities. In this capacity, the Director provides leadership over such functions as the recruitment of athletes; compliance with U.S. Department of Education, Title IX, New York State, the NCAA, and SUNY policies and procedures.

Classification/Salary Range: The Director of Athletics is a United University Professional position. The anticipated salary range for the position is $95,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually, with an outstanding benefits package. For more information please see the Full-Time UUP Benefits Summary.
