Position Summary:

Our Behavioral Health Department employs community-driven and highly skilled clinicians to provide integrated care in our Health Centers. We are seeking a Director of Behavioral Health to join our team. Under the direction of the Associate Medical Director of Behavioral Health, the Director of Behavioral Health is responsible for the direction, administration, and coordination of mental health services of the health center. Provides oversight and direction to Behavioral Health Manager, psychiatrist, psychologists, LCSW and clinical LMSW. Ensures that all behavioral health operations are in compliance with clinical guidelines throughout the health center.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Doctoral Degree program (Ph.D. or Psy.D.)

• Valid NYS License
• At least 5 years of experience working in a previous mental health setting, outpatient clinic or hospital with supervisory and/or leadership experience
• At least 2 years of administrative experience in a health care facility
• Knowledge of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Alcoholism services.
• Ability to successfully interact and communicate with a diversified population
• Bilingual, (English/Spanish) a plus.

Key Duties:

• Supports and ensures overall organizational outcome.
• Responsibilities relative to compliance with organization guidelines for patient care.
• Develops mechanism to monitor and evaluate programs and services for their effectiveness and quality.
• Supervises and monitors the effectiveness and delivery of services and performance of the associates providing mental health services, PhD, PsyD, LCSWs, and LMSWs within the Department of Behavioral Health.

Starting Compensation:

Minimum $145,000 per year; Maximum $165,000 per year
