Director of Benefits -St. Petersburg, FL

FinTrust Connect, a trusted partner of a well-established financial institution, is in the search of a Director of Benefits in the Greater Tampa Bay Area. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Benefits who will be instrumental in leading the strategic planning, development, and execution of our client's employee benefits programs. This executive will ensure these programs effectively support the needs of their diverse clientele while adhering to regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) and over 10 years of experience in strategic planning and project management.
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation and 2-15 Florida Health & Life Agent License required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in benefits management with significant leadership experience in a PEO environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the benefits landscape, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plans like 401(k).
  • Comprehensive understanding of Health and Welfare plan compliance and reporting requirements, including ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, PPACA, and ERISA.
  • Proven ability to engage in discussions with executive-level client contacts.
  • Strong negotiation, strategic thinking, and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally to meet with prospects and clients.

Description:

  • Develop and implement strategic benefits programs that align with client needs and business objectives.
  • Manage relationships and negotiate terms with insurance brokers and benefits providers.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations such as COBRA and HIPAA.
  • Lead the benefits team, providing guidance and expertise in all matters related to employee benefits.
  • Utilize technology to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of benefits administration.
