Location: Norfolk,NE, USA
This position reports to the Vice President of Administrative Services and General Counsel. Position develops and monitors the College's annual operating and restricted fund budget process and conducts analyses to provide accurate, timely, and useful information and projections to the President's Cabinet and other Administrators. Position serves as budget advisor on policies and procedures promulgated by the Board of Governors, President, and College Standing Committees; provides required data to various state departments and divisions. Assists vice presidents, deans and department heads with planning and projecting revenues and expenses and produces budget reports that allow departments to manage and analyze their budgets utilizing both short-term and long-term projection models.
Specific responsibilities of this position includes:
* Preparation for and management of annual operating budget process
* Verification of salary/wage funding and maintenance of detailed and complex projections of labor and benefit costs
* Management and completion of annual labor planning process
* Software administration and management for budgeting, budget requests, budget adjustments, budget transfers, and forecasting
* Budget manager training in relation to all modules of the budgeting software
* Preparation of budget projections, financial analyses, and a variety of financial and internal reports
* Preparation and submittal of the College's annual budget to the Nebraska Auditor of Public Accounts
* Preparation and submittal of College's biennium budget request and mid-biennium updates
* Preparation and submittal of annual reports required by the Coordinating Commission for Postsecondary Education
