This individual will also be responsible for developing teams with design and construction partners. Responsible for managing the entire pursuit process for unique opportunities, including preparation of statements of qualification, proposals, presentations and collaborating with the estimating staff for bid submission.Job Responsibilities:
  • Pursue, build, and maintain strong relationships in the industry to enable effective communication and ties to local markets, including participation in events such as FTBA Conferences, ECA events, and DBIA conferences.
  • Track all upcoming unique opportunities and design-build projects in an organized and proactive manner.
  • Lead marketing efforts with new clients and collaborate with Technical Manager and/or Operations teams on Design-Build marketing efforts.
  • Develop teaming agreements with design partners and construction partners in advance of project procurement.
  • Collaborate with Contract Administration to negotiate Teaming Agreement and MOU terms and conditions.
  • Lead the development and production of qualifications, requests for proposals, and presentation efforts for unique opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the estimating staff for bid submission of unique opportunities.
  • Review all client requirements regularly to ensure they are met in proposals.
  • Understand all bid documents and assess project risks of each pursuit and submission.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of company history, work experience, personnel, and equipment to give presentations to new clients.
  • Review and assess market data to identify new opportunities that best suit the company.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • 10+ years of experience in project management with a construction firm, with at least 5 years in civil projects (such as highways, bridges, etc.).
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of construction industry, trends, innovation, etc.
  • Experience working on large multi-million dollar projects exceeding 100 million dollars, including experience working on design-build or other alternative delivery projects.
  • Demonstrated aptitude to understand engineering projects.
  • Ability to evaluate contractual risks associated with potential opportunities.
  • Organizational ability - able to plan, prioritize, organize, and monitor activities and projects while being detail-oriented.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and construction partners.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed.
