Summary: Under the direction of the VP Marketing, will develop and execute comprehensive business development and community involvement plans that create awareness, enhance the credit union's image and contribute to the achievement of credit union goals. Development includes working closely with the marketing, branch operations, business banking and financial education departments to identify opportunities, implement tactics and track results. Responsible for creating and maintaining business and community leader relationships and providing excellent member service.

Additional: Responsible for completion of applicable training and compliance on federal regulations and APGFCU policies and procedures as related to the duties of this position (Bank Secrecy Act, Information Security as examples, if applicable).
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business or a related field. Related experience may be substituted for formal education.
Experience: Five plus years of sales or relationship management experience required, preferably in the financial services industry. Proven track record in community engagement leadership in either a volunteer or employee role.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers, clients, members and the public.
Other Skills and Abilities: Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills are required. Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office Suite is required. Project and budget management skills are required. Ability to effectively demonstrate and coach proactive sales and service behaviors. Self-motivated with ability to work in an unstructured environment. Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills, decisive, with a 'get it done' mentality. This position requires approximately 80% travel, generally within the local field of membership.
