About the Company Hiring: Our client is a growing E-Commerce company with HQ in Buffalo & multiple sites in the U.S. About the Job: The Director of Business Development reports to the CEO, and is responsible for sales strategy, identifying new business opportunities, and managing client relationships.
- Researching and identifying potential clients, markets, and partnerships to expand the company's reach.
- Maintaining and nurturing relationships with existing clients while putting an emphasis in developing new ones.
- Creating and implementing strategies to increase sales and achieve business goals.
- Market Research: Analyzing market trends and competitors to identify opportunities for growth.
- Proposal and Contract Negotiation: Preparing proposals, negotiating contract terms, and closing deals.
- Collaboration: Working closely with the executive team, vendor managers, and other team members to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Performance Tracking: Monitoring and reporting on sales performance and business development activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office.
- Understanding of retail and eCommerce along with experience in wholesale or distribution is a plus.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
